THESE 3 THINGS 329

These 3 Things

329

1. Be grateful for your silent partners. In business and in life we have people we rely on who simply get the job done. We don't have to think much about them, but in essence, we couldn't get much done without them. For my business, I rely heavily on UPS, FedEx, and the USPS. I simply couldn't have a business without them. They are the silent partners I rely on to keep things moving in and out of the studio. In essence, they are part of the ZR team, showing up reliably, on call 24/7, and unknowingly cheering me on throughout the week. So, thanks guys. I couldn't do it without you.

2. Maintain the right to disappoint people. This is a big one. If we stick ourselves in a box, one rigid with constraints and built on predictability we don't allow ourselves the possibility for failure. Failure, over and over, and over again is what leads to creativity beyond our wildest dreams. Failure can be disappointing, but very necessary to moving forward. I'm working on this, but it's hard. I like framing it this way though. Seems easier to hold on to.

3. "To make art I think you have to be willing to open up your rib cage and just pull it apart." - Bono.
