1. On November 9th, I wrote a little mantra to repeat each morning to keep me grounded during the days to come. I wasn't planning on saying it a million times a morning, but I got pretty close today. But that's what it's there for right? Might as well get some mileage out of it. I'm posting it again here because in some way it is getting me through...
Today I promise to be my best self. To be an outstanding mother, a passionate artist, a good friend, and an open hearted woman. I will get on the mat, create with great abandon in the studio, and remember wherever there is a lock, there is always a key. I am sending love to those who need it, and those who don't think they do. I'm going to start here. Small but mighty.
What's keeping you together?
2. “California is not turning back. Not now, not ever.” - Governor Jerry Brown.
3. I overheard this while peeking in on my daughter playing this afternoon (Aerial and Jasmine were going to visit Rapunzel) I should add that the irony of who was Rapunzel, the princess locked in the tower is pretty remarkable.
"Come on Aerial, we have to get dressed in our pantsuits to go to the White House. Let's say hi to Melania and take her on a yoga trip. I bet she's tired."
And there you have it.
What did you learn today?
