As we are about to embark on what I like to refer to as a 4 year involuntary assignment, I have yet to determine exactly what my role will be during this revolutionary time. And I think that's okay. It might be one thing, it might be many things. Here are a few that I am auditioning:
1. Tattletale. Yep. I will be a big fat, loud mouth, tattletale. More so. When I see injustice I'm gonna point at it and call it the fuck out. My husband would probably insert here that I am already passionately into finger pointing when I see things that I don't like and have a tendency to point quite forcefully and speak quite loudly while pointing my finger. This can make being in public with me kind of a Cracker Jack prize, you never know what you are going to get. I'm going to frame this tendency as a gift. I think it will come in handy over the next 4 years.
2. To champion women who take care of business, to take care of themselves. We cannot be a movement if we cannot mobilize. I want us to be strong, solid, clear headed, and mindful. Whatever you need to do to stay strong and effective, I'm in your corner. Of course yoga, but whatever it takes to be your best you.
3. Stay connected. Let's tell each other what we are up to, what we need help with, what projects are consuming us, where our passion lies. As women, our ability to support each other and lift each other up is critical, so let's do it. Let's invite each other in.
