1. Persimmon trees at the golden hour glow like perfectly colored orange embers that light up the entire sky.
2. And I Love You So, originally written by Don McLean in 1969, was also recorded by Elvis and Perry Como. The Perry Como version is the one I remember my grandfather, Papa Joe singing around the house. It's an interesting song with bittersweet lyrics and a very slow build. The crescendo was always my favorite part.
3. Today I wore all the hats. Mother, wife, cook, cleaner, small business owner, boss, artist, designer, friend, yoga teacher, daughter, and dog poop picker upper. These kind of days are dizzying, but also my favorite. I'm so grateful to have friends and family who see me for all the crazy combinations of things I am.
