1. Always bring extra. I like to pack light and it wasn't until we had a baby that I learned carrying around extra of anything is a good thing. At first it was out of necessity, but now that my daughter is older, its become more of a game. I always like to bring extra supplies to classes, extra snacks for the kiddos, an extra pair of shoes when I travel. The fun part is seeing how the extras get used. They always seem to.
2. Donate. This year, my business Zelma Rose, pledged to donate a portion of profits to Team Rubicon. Each year I choose a veteran related cause and I'm so excited to be donating to Team Rubicon in 2016. Team Rubicon provides disaster relief worldwide by working with our veterans. "Team Rubicon seeks to provide our veterans with three things they lose after leaving the military: a purpose, gained through disaster relief; community, built by serving with others; and self-worth, from recognizing the impact one individual can make. Coupled with leadership development and other opportunities, Team Rubicon looks to help veterans transition from military to civilian life." Neat.
3. Is it really always the last place you look? I'm thinking about this silly saying a lot lately. I'm not sure it deserves deep introspection, but shit, doesn't it just seem the way sometimes?
