If you were a teen in the 90's it was impossible not to be taken by a group of young, strong, and of course beautiful women who the term SUPERMODEL was named. Cindy, Naomi, Kate, Claudia, Christy, Linda, and Tyra to name a few, but the one who captivated me beyond all was Helena Christensen. Many of you will remember seeing her for the first time on Mtv in what might still be considered to be the sexiest music video of all time, Chris Isaak's Wicked Game. She jumped off the screen with confidence, sensuality and an ease in her body that was just beautiful. I was hooked.

These days, Helena Christensen has become one of my favorite people to follow on Instagram. Her work ethic throughout the years is admirable to say the least, and when she wasn't in front of the camera, she was developing her own skills behind the lens. A highlight from her feed is her own body of photography including portraits of some familiar faces, along with her own candid and stunning self portraits. Her images have a unique perspective and often dramatic lighting, with a sensibility that can only be achieved after years of watching from the other side of the camera.

Also of note are the humorous and loving photos of her Australian Shepherd, Kuma, who is about the sweetest thing you have ever seen. Along with fashion editorials, photos of family, friends, and her own brand of footwear and eyewear Staerk + Christensen, Helena's feed is a collection of the interesting, funny, and heartfelt moments of an accomplished 49 year old mother, model, photographer, and Creative Director at Nylon Magazine. God I would love to get an Estero Necklace on her!!
